I have been very curious about the discussion of the yellow-orange object in Zach's photo. Today I ran it through a photo enhancing program to see if I could see more detail and found I cannot find the appearance of a spathe and spadix. In my enlargement, and please remember quality is lost when an enlargement this extreme is made, there is nothing that looks like a spadix. In fact, both edges of the object appear to have involute vernation and be rolling inward. This leaves to suspect the object is not a part of the Anthurium in Zach's photo but something belonging to another plant. Judge for yourself.
