Alocasia cuprea ID needed

I have a small plant that I received labeled as Alocasia cuprea.  It 
is pictured at the following:

The veination doesn't seem as deeply set as plants I've seen and the 
underside of the leaf is definitely not red-violet (per Hortus III). 
Is this plant misidentified or do these features take time to develop 
more fully?
