Monstera (?) on a Magazine Cover

I bought a copy of 'Archaeology Magazine' which had a nice photo of a
fenestrated Monstera or Philodendron on the cover. This is the current
(Oct '97) issue. The plant is growing on a Mayan carving.

The photo was made in 1959!

If anyone can ID this one, please e-mail me.

I don't think it is M. pitterii or deliciosa.
