Slugs and Copper

There's an good site on the Internet re. slugs and copper -- this site
sells a 3-inch copper band (barrier), but they also provide reprints of
articles which mention the reaction of the slugs' slime to copper
(producing something unpleasant like an electric shock -- although I don't
know which slug reported this).
