I have grown this for 2 years here just sort of placed on top of the ground in Pine bark mulch and it has done very well. I am in the Woods with little direct sunlight. One thing to note is that it did as well last year in a severe drought as it did this year in record rain and unusually low temperatures. The bulbils seem to root like crazy in a loose mulch but only seem to do so the following spring after a winter rest in the greenhouse.
Harry WitmoreRemusatia vivipara also seems to attract spider mites by the ton.....at least here it does, so keep the humidity up around them. Michael --- Incoming mail is certified Virus Free.
