as your neighbor in Atlanta, i am happy to share whatever information i
have.  since we do not have a municipal program here, and there are three or
four separate private and government programs assisting community gardens in
various ways, there is no way to come up with a definitive number of active
community gardens.  gardens come and go, you know, and most of our
inventories are chock-full-o dormant or extinct gardens.

try contacting your state community garden coordinator, Bobby Wilson, for
official statistics.  404-762-4077.  if you are starting a new garden, or a
new program, please contact me directly so we can talk about all the players
here in Atlanta, from Generation Green to AUGP.
