Dear Ms.Lastima
Please let us know what area you're in, so we can direct you to local horticultural, and gardening supply/home centers - if your prgram is going to be part of an organized not-for-profit, you may be able to acquire discounted, or donated materials.
Please go to the American Community Gardening Association website: http://www.communitygarden.org
This link - http://communitygarden.org/links.php#seniors has lots of information on horticultural therapy and working on health issues through gardenig.
Also, it would make great sense, some evening, to set up some paper in your home computer, make a pot of your favorite hot beverage, and read through the entire ACGA website, printing up the sections you feel will be most helpful to what you want to do.
Great luck with your programme,

Subject: [cg] New Urban Garden Program
Hi,
I'm starting an Urban Gardening project targeted towards pregant and
first time mothers. The difference is that the program will not be a
community garden project, but rather a program where they will be growing
their own fruits and vegetables using containers.
The community aspect of the program will be potlucks and meetings for
gardening tips and to promote healthly living. We hope to 'sneak' other
healthy living messages in there like breastfeeding, no smoking, etc.
I'm fairly new to gardening and would be relying on the help of
experienced gardeners and gardening organizations in the area.
I just wanted to get feedback and/or questions from you guys so that I
cover all the bases in a project such as this.
Thanks,
Mo
