Hi Marilyn,
For more information on the American Community Gardening Association (ACGA)
and on the Chicago convention that just passed and future events, please go to
our website, <A HREF="http://www.communitygarden.org/">American Community
Gardening Association</A> . The organization, which has been in existence for
25 years now, has stuffed an amazing amount of information on the site on
almost every cg topic and has an extensive listing of community garden
organizations and individual gardens from all over the US & Canada, as well as
internationally. <A HREF="http://www.communitygarden.org/links/index.html#Gardens">
Garden Links</A> .
We currently have the <A
HREF="http://www.aces.uiuc.edu/~uplink/programs/soul.html">Save Our Urban Land</A> and the <A
HREF="http://www.aces.uiuc.edu/~uplink/programs/dscigarden.html">Cook's County Sheriff's Garden</A> as Illinois
links. If any of the lovely Chicago gardens you know have a web presence, or
are listed on any associated group's websites, please let this listserv know,
so we can list them.
Thanking you in advance,

Hello,
I just had a chance meeting with some of your group over at Waters School
Community Garden in Chicago. They had just completed a canoe trip on the
river before raindrops began to fall through a sunny sky. I spoke to a
community gardener from New York and she gave me your web address. I am
intrigued that your group exists and applaud your endeavors! I do hope your
Chicago visit was a wonderful experience. It's pouring now and the sky is
completely clouded-over! Hopefully everyone took cover before the deluge!
All the best to you and your group.
Sincerely, a fellow community gardener from Chicago, Marilyn Fumagalli >>
