For those of us in the community garden movement who are actively involved in
fighting hunger in our communities, and find it harder and harder to explain
to the newbies, well meaning funders and legislators what the "big picture"
is, Trudy Lieberman's article in 'The Nation' ( 8/18 - 8/25) "Hungry in America:
Washington No Longer Feels It Ought to Insure That Everyone Has Enough To
Eat" is a godsend.
