Garden tour a success

Saturday August 12 was Ashlands first Food Garden
Tour sponsored by FEAST. Nine families opened up their
yards to people in the community. The weather was
beautiful and many people came to learn more about
gardening and meet their neighbors. The Green Thumb
Community Gardens site provided a model for those
without enough space for a home garden or who
preferred to garden with their neighbors. The gardens
showed diverse gardening styles, interests, and scale
but all had the common thread of providing healthy
food for families and neighbors.

We hope make this an annual Ashland event and that
everyone will join us next year!

Amy Syverson
FEAST Coordinator
