Free Interactive Science Education DVD from Cornell University
Cornell University's Garden Mosaics Program recently released an
innovative series of new products, including an interactive DVD for
educators. DVD users will be able to view live footage of educators
conducting program activities with youth and elders, download the
Program Manual including a series of illustrated activity and fact
sheets, and link to many other educational resources. Additional
products available through the Garden Mosaics website include 37
colorful illustrated Science Pages, covering topics ranging from
airphotos to insects, to unusual plants and their uses. A free copy of
the Interactive DVD is available for a limited time to the first 500
educators who fill out a short evaluation survey on the Garden Mosaics
website.
Garden Mosaics is funded by the National Science Foundation and private
donors. Our mission is to connect youth and elders to investigate the
mosaic of plants, people, and cultures in gardens. Garden Mosaics youth
learn to appreciate the diversity of plants and cultures in their
community, form positive relationships with adults, learn about science,
take action to benefit their neighborhood, and participate in a global
project to help the environment and food system. For more information,
