Reminder, the Call for Proposals for ACGA's 26th Annual conference in
Minneapolis on August 11-14 are due by March 15.

Submissions are invited on the following topics:
* Water Themes: Water-wise gardening, river issues, watershed
issues, rain water harvesting, aquaculture, rain gardens
* Local Issues: Mississippi River, Minneapolis/Saint Paul CG
issues
* Food, Health and Nutrition: community food security, livestock
projects, cooking from the garden, farmers markets, food preservation,
local food systems, "slow food", school lunches, horticultural therapy.
* Art and Culture: Art in the garden, ethnobotany, cultural
expression in gardens, multicultural projects, intergenerational
gardening, spirituality in the garden, arts programming
* Economic Development: garden micro-enterprises, workforce
development, economic impacts of gardens Government and Advocacy: green
infrastructure, land-use planning, public-private partnerships,
remediation
* Horticulture and Ecology: habitat conservation, stewardship,
greenhouses, integrated pest management, non-traditional spaces,
organics, horticultural therapy, edible landscapes
* Organizational and Community Development: staff development,
coalition building, organizing, fundraising, in-kind resources, media,
networking, volunteer programs, event and recreational programming
* Sustainable Systems: energy and resource conservation,
transportation, solar energy, wind, composting, water conservation and
collection
* Youth and Adult Education: school gardens and partnerships,
teacher training, curricula, youth-led presentations, environmental
education and action, job training
Also just out is the Call for Proposals for Workshops for the Ninth
Annual Conference of the Community Food Security Coalition (CFSC), to
be held in Atlanta, GA, on October 6-9. Proposals must be received by
April 15.

Building Local Food Systems
Race, Power, and Justice in the Food System
Food Security in Atlanta and the South
Linking Health and Sustainable Food Systems
Food and Farm Policies at the Local to International Levels
