Garden Award Deadline is Near!
The 4th Annual Southwest Region Community and School Gardening Conference held in Phoenix Feb 22-25, 2001 invites school and community gardening projects in the states of (Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Texas and Utah) to apply for the 4th Annual Let's Get Growing Awards!
The deadline is JANUARY 20, 2001.
The submission of a simple nomination letter (2 pgs. max) and photos are all you need and you could be on your way to Phoenix to receive:
Two free conference passes
Two free tickets to the Awards reception and celebration
Press Materials to submit to your local news
Gift pack of seeds
Garden Profile and photos on our conference web site

2001 SW REGION COMMUNITY AND SCHOOL GARDENING AWARDS
We are asking for your assistance to nominate outstanding efforts and programs in the states of AZ, CA, CO, NM, NV, TX, or UT.
D E T A I L S
Deadline: Nomination must be postmarked by January 20, 2001
Award winners will be notified by January 31, 2001.
Award presentation will take place at :
Let's Get Growing Awards Ceremony and Dessert Reception
7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Saturday - February 24, 2001
The Heard Museum - Phoenix, AZ
A representative from your garden must be present at Award Ceremony to receive award.
All transportation to the conference and hotel accommodations are the responsibility of award winner.
H o w t o S u b m i t N o m i n a t i o n s:
1. Provide information requested for the award category you have selected. You may submit for more than one category.
2. Submit on White paper. Do not to exceed 2 double spaced pages.
3. Please provide garden address, location and contact person information.
4. Enclose minimum of 4 representative slides or photos. These will not be returned. If you are selected as a winner, you may be asked to submit additional photos or slides.
