Re: peace lily

It sounds as though the flowers have finished their individual life
cycles and are dying back--perfectly normal and healthy. Those plants are
pretty hardy; if you're worried about overwatering, stop watering and
wait for the plant to tell you it's thirsty. The leaves will start to
droop a little, and then you'll know it's time to water again.
