Well - it's great to get grounds to compost from Starbucks.  They do it in Chicago - probably everywhere.  It's good PR and clearly better than dumping.  I don't think you need to buy from them in order to get the grounds.

But remember - Starbuck looks to get it every which way it can - being environmentally respectful, sometimes open to political pressure in good ways - and it likes to put small cafe businesses out of business.  In Chicago and elsewhere - their behavior is just like all the big players with money and clout to move in and take over.  Laurie, Chicago
