mosquitos in water barrels

Hello Fellow Gardeners!

We are looking for ways to control mosquitos in water barrels, with a
preference for organic/non-toxic ways.

I have heard of putting vegetable oil on the surface of the water. Has
anyone tried this? What's a recommended volume of oil?

Also, I know bleach is an option, but don't know how much should be added
per gallon of water. Do you?

Any other ideas?
