Food Security and Community Gardens in California
"Calling All Gardeners!
The Tijuana River Valley Regional Park Community Gardeners are sharing their
harvest with local emergency food organizations serving nearby communities.
The San Diego Hunger Coalition encourages all gardeners to share their fruits
and vegetables with local organizations serving the hungry this Summer. There
are many small organizations that directly feed needy individuals and families
in communities throughout the county. Many of them will be happy to include
fresh produce in their emergency packages.
T
If you do not know of an organization in your neighborhood, contact us and we
will assist you. (619) 427-6527."
