[cg] re: sharing with FOOD BANKS

Martha and others seeking to link with food banks might want to address
queries to Second Harvest (www.secondharvest.org) , a US non-profit which
serves as a logistical coordinator and intermediary between food producers and
distributors and food banks on a national level. They work with 200 or so food
banks and have created some innovative arrangements with local farmers in
various regions. Some of the food banks (the Western Massachusetts Food Bank
comes immediately to mind) even have their own farms. Much luck with your good
idea.
