Hi Stacy--
Ishwarbhai C. Patel of Rutgers Cooperative Extension did a lot of research on
community gardening in the 1990's. I can fax or snail-mail you a messy comm
gardening bibliography if you're interested (can't e-mail it, lost my hard
drive).
