Job Announcement in Long Beach, CA

Long Beach Organic, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting sustainable organic gardening practices and local food consumption in an urban environment seeks an Executive Director. 

The Executive Director’s responsibilities include maintenance of an organic nursery and demonstration garden, implementation of a new community garden, maintenance of existing community gardens, and serving as a resource for school garden programs in the City of Long Beach.

Qualifications include experience in organic gardening, nursery management, non-profit management, and community organizing. Leadership skills and computer literacy a must.

Salary starts at $25,000 per year (40 hour work week). Benefits negotiable.
