your friendly regular research reminder

Greetings all,

On a research note, the database I've been building of community/youth/school/urban gardening and greening research is large and growing! At last summer's conference, I handed out a four-page version of it-- and am happy to report that it is now much, much larger. I've found that there are over 50 masters and doctoral theses specifically about community or school gardening! The full database has over 600 references, but it also includes articles in popular magazines (such as Better Homes and Gardens), curricula, handbooks, etc. in addition to academic-based research.

If you know of new research (theses, journal articles, reports, studies) in our field, please send along the reference. Although I've searched many library databases, ACGA listserve archives, and more, I know there is still more out there! Also, if you have electronic copies (word docs or pdfs) of the documents, feel free to send them. You can also bring hard copies to the conference or mail things to me... The more we have on hand, the easier it will be help use this research to help our community gardening and greening causes!
