Dear ACGA members and colleagues,
To help disseminate our new book, "Patchwork: stories of gardens and
community," Friends of Burlington Gardens would like to extend an offer of
free shipping and handling to ACGA members and affilliates through June 30.
Patchwork includes vignettes shared by Burlington community gardeners from a
diversity of cultural backgrounds. The first person stories are accompanied by
photographs of the gardeners in their community plots, "Editor's Journal"
entries with useful gardening links, and a resource guide for starting and
sustaining a community or neighborhood garden.
Additional information and reviewers' quotes are listed at
http://www.burlingtongardens.org/Patchwork.htm. A review of Patchwork is also
included in the May 2005 issue of "The Community Gardener" published by ACGA.
To order a copy of Patchwork, stories of gardens and community, please use the
order form at the web link above, or send a check/money order for $9.95 to:
Friends of Burlington Gardens, 33 Tracy Drive, Burlington, VT 05401.
Important: to take advantage of the free shipping offer, please include a copy
of this email with your check or order form. This offer is only available
through Friends of Burlington Gardens.
If ordering more than one copy of Patchwork, please download the order form on
the web page link above. Quantity discounts are available for orders of 10
books or more from gardening organizations, schools, libraries, nonprofits, or
resellers. The free shipping offer applies to orders of any quantity.
Proceeds from Patchwork help to support community and neighborhood gardening
and garden-based education. Thanks for considering this new book.
