benefits

Hi - I am a graduate student who is starting to work on her masters thesis.  I am considering doing a study on the benefits of community gardens on the communities they are set in.   I would like to take this information and prove the need my community has for a community garden.  I am in Lincoln, Nebraska and we do not have a program of this type, but I think we would benefit.  Does anyone know of any good studies done on this or any good articles or books to look for?
