Event: Fruit Tree Pruning Workshop Date: Saturday, March 27, 2004 â weather permitting  10:00 a.m. until noon Location: Kerr Center for Sustainable Agricultureâs Office Building, Poteau, OK  On Hwy 271, located four miles southwest of junction 59 or two miles northeast of Wister. Watch for field day sign. Registration: Free. No early registration is required. Description: Ted Evicks, Pittsburg County Extension Agriculture Educator will be here to show the correct way to prune home fruit trees. Trees will be pear, plum, peach and apple. Examples will be one year be four year plantings. Fruit tree diseases and edible landscaping tips will also be discussed. Participants will also receive informational handouts.
