Community Gardening Americorps Positions, Washington DC.  

Two Options, both starting immediately.  First--summer only.  Second--5-1/2 
months.  Both Full-Time.  Low pay, hard work, great experience!  Stipend 
$5.40/hr plus health insurance and end-of-service education award ($1,050/ 
summer, $2,360/5-½ months).  Responsibilities: assist youth and community 
gardens.  Qualifications: solid knowledge of organic gardening; great people

skills; creative; organized; comfortable in diverse low-income
neighborhoods; 
skilled at participatory project planning and community meeting process; 
skilled at creating youth activities integrating gardening, nutrition, 
cooking, academics; basic carpentry and computer skills; valid drivers'
