Hello gardeners,
I just wanted to pass along this article from the May/June 2002 Preservation magazine. It is called "Asphalt Eden" by Charles Wilson and its all about urban agriculture, food security, urban revitalization and urban farming in several cities such as Detroit, Philadelphia and Madison. Maybe you will see your friends or selves in there. It's a great article and I didn't want it to go under the radar.
Also, for those of who don't read it, Utne Reader's May/June Issue has several articles on sustainable vs. conventional food systems and gardens and food projects. It's great to see so much stuff in the press these days.
