Friends,
More of how things get done with volunteers, for those newbies who've not
done this before. Invitation, Guilt, humor, etc....
The 9th Avenue Food Festival is a mile long street fair, with millions of
folks streaming by -for two days in May. Most of us would rather be gardening,
but we need to raise money for plants, soil amendments, etc. etc.
So we hawk our t-shirts and coffee mugs in an albeit carnival atmosphere. As
we say - "Community Gardens Don't Grow on Trees."
An educational service of...

All plotholders,
There is now a sign-up sheet in the shed (and an annoying sign) for
volunteers to man the booth at the 9th Ave Festival on Sat & Sunday, May 14
& 15.
We really need people to setup and breakdown -- but we also need people for
all of the time slots. We'll be selling t-shirts and mugs with our NEW logo
and generally telling the neighborhood about our wonderful oasis of green.
So sign up now and put in some of your 'suggested volunteer hours' to the
greater good of the garden.
The sooner that sheet fills up, the sooner the anoying sign comes down.
See you there.
