community gardens search

Hi:

I am trying to locate and identify people/organizations involved with
community greening and gardening in the area east of Los Angeles [but
including Watts and South Central], basically from Compton on the west to
Anneheim on the east to Monrovia on the North to Long Beach on the South.
This is for a job I'm doing on open land planning in the area.  any leads I
get would be most helpful.
