Re: community_garden digest, Vol 1 #1967 - 6 msgs

  • Subject: [cg] Re: community_garden digest, Vol 1 #1967 - 6 msgs

Hi, Anna and all,

I just got 5 past community garden list 'digests' this
morning, after nothing for a little over a week. I've
missed it!

Everybody, read the last couple of messages from Adam
- his 'research resource guide' is invaluable, and he
has no peer as a voice for community gardening.
Thanks, Adam!

I've been sending posts and passing along messages
even without the list coming. and I suspect at least
some have gotten through to those who take individual
posts (I've gotten replies), but I don't see any of my
posts on the digests I just got. Guess the ether
gobbled 'em up.

On another topic:

If anyone I haven't yet bugged has any final letter,
message, story or missive for the next (long overdue -
entirely my fault) issue of Community Greening, the
ACGA magazine, send 'em to me by email -
dboekelheide@yahoo.com, before next Monday, Nov. 15.
That has to be the drop dead deadline - if I don't get
this magazine out in the next couple weeks, _I'll_
drop dead.

My big discovery this week is that those charteuse
leaved sweet potatoes so popular as ornamentals have a
wonderful edible root. It's a white sweet potato, not
overly sweet, more like an Irish potato. I used to eat
something a lot like it, deep fried, with hot sauce on
the side, in my Peace Corps Togo days.

Cheers,

Don

. (In case anyone asks what the hangup is,
