After the Million Flower Compost Tomorrow - Yoga & Meditation

If you're up for more NYC Garden celebrating tomorrow after Seattle's
Million Flower Compost is mixed into the flower beds at Battery Park City (
in rembrance of 9/11 on the occasion of the  rededication of the Battery
Park Community Gardens.) 
Afterwards...
Take the subway uptown to the Clinton Community Garden on West 48th Street
for some yoga and mediation!

Month, in which we take time out to take care of ourselves, before and after

the September 11 anniversary. All events are free and open to the public.

Take a Deep Breath 

Take an afternoon for reflection and relaxation. As part of September 
Wellness Month, Imagine New York invites you to a meditation workshop and 
tree ornamentation activity at Clinton Community Garden. Join Ana Sussmann, 
RN and yoga therapist, on the lawn for easy stretches and quiet breathing 
and relaxation exercises. Decorate the garden with wishes for the city on 
your own handmade ornaments. Clinton Community Garden, West 48th Street 
between 9th and 10th Avenues. Saturday, September 28 from 1:30 to 3:30 pm. 
Be sure to wear comfortable clothes and bring a towel or pillow to sit on 
for the meditation workshop.

Sculpt a Memorial Garden 

Imagine New York in association with La Plaza Cultural & GOH Productions 
invites you to sculpt a memorial garden at La Plaza Cultural Community 
Garden. Local artist Rolando Piloti will lead a workshop to create 
sculptures out of aluminum cans, plastic bottles and colorful packaging to 
adorn the fence of the garden (see image to the right). Join us at La Plaza 
Cultural Community Garden, East 9th Street and Avenue C, Saturday October 5 
from 11 am to 1 pm.
