Dryopteris sieboldii

I have tried to grow this fern on two occasions and each time it died.   On
a recent visit to the garden centre I succumbed and bought another one as I
like it so much but I don't want to lose it.   Can anyone supply details of
its cultural requirements and natural habitat?
