Don't forget Pyrrosia sheareri. Last week for the third year in a row we
dropped to 15*F (-10 C) without the benefit of snow cover (formerly
unusual for the Seattle area) for many days. Most of the garden
including the Pyrrosia looked freeze dried but now the sheareri and P.
lingua including cv. Eboshi are fine. One sheareri and all of my linguas
were in pots making them even more vulnerable. I've had P. sheareri
outdoors in all sorts of weather for over 20 years and it is a prize.
