Things have been kind of quiet on the list lately - It's good to hear people
perking up!

It was 8 Deg. F. this morning with about 2 ft. of snow here at our log cabin
in Nevada @ 5180ft. El. USDA 7a
Our wellhead froze during the last cold snap about 1 week ago at -18 Deg.
reported by my wife's car thermometer (not amazingly reliable) - so no water
for about 8 days. Showers at friends and melting snow for dishes and
flushing toilets really makes one appreciative of The Water Of Life that we
all take for granted every time we turn the tap.
...needless to say, all of my (surviving ;^) ferns are inside.
Ann Herrington gave me the marvelous idea of an underground greenhouse! The
backhoe is going into action this spring in Nevada!
