Polystichum polyblepharum 

This is a plant I found recently and planted in my garden.Polystichum
polyblepharum or Chinese Tassel fern. I'm told this is quite hardy and should
do well in my zone 9 garden. But what is its natural habitat like? Is it a
typical woodland fern,growing in shade? Just interested in such things.
