RE: Helleborus foetiditus< now moving north
Not Tony-
But I think this one may depend on one's internal thermastat. I could never
live in your neck of the woods Jim- too darn hot and humid. For that
matter, it gets too hot here (Sac, CA) too. I'd move to Oregon in a
heartbeat if I could. For that matter, I'd move back to the east coast.
Now don't all kill me, but i do miss the snow! and western New York state's
spring and fall can't be beat!
So, maybe that's what it is?

tony, OT question. what motivated you to move from so-cal to vancouver?
i find moving from a mediterranean climate to a temperate rainforest
climate, well, difficult to internalize. in short, i guess i couldn't do
it. my instincts tell me to go the other way. costa rica, maybe.
i must confess most of my tribe has migrated from so-cal [and nor-cal] to
oregon, and i don't understand it entirely. my sister, for example,
recently retired from the legislative counsel's office in sacramento and
moved to oregon--keizer [wherever that is]--presumably [my take] to be
close to a whole gaggle of female relatives with whom she has always felt
simpatico.
