True. Actually you can use any fabric that's tough enough to hold
the plants weight. I have some old curtains and old bedspreads I've
been using for years plus a length of old fabric that I had used for
some decorative purpose (now forgotten) about 40 years ago. You
could use plastic, but I find it hard to wrap a rootball with it;
fabric is much easier IMO.
Burlap is ideal, but if you don't have it, use whatever is at hand.
