Any time the deer or rabbits have eaten a stem from one of my lilies,
including the Martagons, that has been it. They do not form new stems or
off-shoots. Do not know if this is true of *all* lilies, but it sure is on
martagons. The very tip of the stem is where the buds form for blooms...
once that is gone for whatever reason there is no bloom even if you get some
stem remaining.
