I've found that V. plicatum are pretty easy from cuttings; good one
to propagate and they bloom when quite young. I put one I'd grown
from a cutting outside the deerfence as the deer had never bothered
its momma....well, durn them, they got most of the flower buds, but
it did bloom and it's only about 2' tall - maybe 3 or 4 years from
the cutting.
