Re: Well, today.../ Midwest Gardening

Hello Betsy,
That seems to run pretty true for me.. majority of my customers are female. However, having said that, when it comes to niche gardening, or plants collectors, the percentage of men goes up. Not always, but men stand out in my mind when it comes to collecting things like Trillium or Arisaema, things long those lines.

I do not know if Greg will be successful making the magazine a "MAN'S
Magazine" Statistics show that gardening is done by a larger percentage of
women than men...maybe as high as 80%. Having worked in a garden center for
almost 27 years..men come out for fertilizer and maybe a tree or shrub, but
accesorizing with perennials and flowers is where the women are.
