Re: Re: Heuchera 'Amber Waves'

I failed with "Amber Waves" the first time because I planted it in too much shade. My second try was in almost full sun and it is happy as a clam. (How does one know if clams are happy???)

I swear I'm losing my mind. I thought Chris wrote that but would certainly
have made the same offer to you! I haven't tried any of them honestly. I
had one that didn't do so well and haven't tried another since. I love the
Amber Waves, but I don't really know where I'd put one. How do you use
them? They seem to be mostly shade garden plants, which I don't really
have, and the ones I've seen don't seem to like containers all that much.
That's where all my shade is.

No, I meant that I'd ordered a flat wholesale for us to resell. Next
choice
was one called Caramel, earthtones, too, but a different species. That
was
sold out too. But thanks for the offer Andrea.

Chris

Did you find any? They sell it all over down here. If you need some let
me
know and I'll pick some up.

I think Heuchera Marmalade may have appeared prior to H. Amber
Waves.
I
ordered a flat of it but.....they cancelled. I like the pictures.
I've been growing 'Marmalade' for a little while now. It seems more
orangey than Amber Waves and is definitely larger and coarser. I'm
not sure which I prefer yet!
