Even if I can't see them, I love hearing them jack hammering in woods as
I'm working in the yard. I'm so easy - a Pileated during the day and
conversations of owls in the evening and I'm a happy girl.

When I lived in Maryland there were several pair of Pileated Woodpeckers
that lived in the woods near a house I rented for a while. I love
watching them. Amazing birds and the about of tree back and wood they
could removed while pecking, resulted in a small pile of sawdust
beneath!
