They're probably worried that you're not a spring chicken. What did they tell you about recup time?

I've had 3 knee surgeries, and there are worse things, though I wouldn't recommend them lightly. The main problem that I had was that in the 60's , before they even thought of repairing cartilage, removal was common, leaving those of us who had the surgery walking bone-on-bone 30 years later.

I was lucky enough 10 years ago to find a great sports med guy, whose gentle touch with the arthroscope bought me a decade of keeping my own knee. (And I'm keeping fingers crossed that this year's Supartz injections will buy me another decade).
