All the windows are wide open with a fan in the window. I'm not exactly
sure what happened. I put Bill's breakfast in the microwave, set it for 3
minutes, went out to the attached garage for another omelet and when I
didn't hear the microwave running, assumed the food was heated and went into
our room to let Bill know. All of a sudden, I smelled smoke REALLY strong.
I mentioned it to Bill who said it did smell pretty bad. We checked all
over the bathroom and bedroom and couldn't find the source. I went to the
door into the family room and the lower level was filled with smoke. We
turned on every exhaust we have and I went to the microwave. Bill's
breakfast looked like a cinder. The entire inside was blackened and the
exterior of the microwave was extremely hot.
We're all O.K., but meals will be done the "old fashioned way" for a while
until we can get it fixed or afford a new one. Of such is life!
Blessings,
Bonnie (SW OH - zone 5)
