Re: Bonnie Zone 7 ETN

I have Calycanthus floridus (Carolina allspice) on the northeast part of my lawn. It gets about half sun and has lots of flower buds on it right now. I'm getting another Calycanthus this spring called Venus, a cross of C. florida with a Chinese variety. It has the same shaped flowers, but in white and very large.

Bonnie,
Thanks for sharing your pictures. I noticed the 'calicanthus floridus'. My neighbors just gave me one as a gift. Will it flower in partial sun? I love those almost chocolate brown flowers.

Bonnie Zone 7 ETN
At last, I got some pictures to share. Took some time as I had to load
them one at a time. My neighbor brought me some Allium tricoccum that I
am trying to get going.
