The department head is very dedicated to her plants and tries to get as many unusual ones as possible. We have three nurseries from TN with the rest located in NC, FL and one in California. This spring we had a South Carolina Silver Bell tree that I really coveted. If I find it's stll there I might get it because I know we take excellent care of our plants. BTW, we have no problem sending customers to local nurseries if we don't have what they want.

I had a fun Earth Day at work. I was asked to give a talk on making organic compost -- probably because I am one of the few people who don't mind speaking extemporaneously, at least when the subject is something with which I am familiar. :o) Anyway, it turned out to be a lot of fun, and the six people who had signed up for it (I had no idea it had been advertised in the H-D flyer) said they learned a lot.
