You're really lucky, and must have a great manager with a lot of courage. One of my cousins is a great designer. He went to work for H-D so that there would be health insurance for his wife, who's disabled. Even though he's won several marketing and design awards, they still keep dragging him away to put lawnmowers together. :-(

You are probably right. I happen to work at a H-D with a wonderful garden center. We are the largest in the area. The department head is very dedicated to her plants and tries to get as many unusual ones as possible. We have three nurseries from TN with the rest located in NC, FL and one in California. This spring we had a South Carolina Silver Bell tree that I really coveted. If I find it's stll there I might get it because I know we take excellent care of our plants. BTW, we have no problem sending customers to local nurseries if we don't have what they want.
