Re: fennel, dill, parsley, and butterflies, etc


Hello Cathy,
    Don't know what is going on there or here with the butterflies. There
simply has not been the numbers of last year or the years before. Seems to
be true for all the species we see around here. The plants we normally see
stripped of all foliage have hardly been touched this year. When we do see
evidence it much less and later than last season.
    We are seeing babies now. Out walking last evening there was a pipe vine
swallow tail in the drive way. One... but we saw numerous caterpillars
eating on the pipevines here earlier. Evil looking things..... no answers
here... just comments...
