symphytum


Marge,
I have Symphytum 'Goldsmith' as well as theplain Comfrey.  It's variegated
much like your Axminster, but doesn't get tall as your picture showed.  And,
yes, a big slug favorite.  Sounds like you took a bit of a beating from this
weather, too.  Seems we all have in one way or another.
