Mine's an Olympus and I bet you're right - a code for the camera for use by
a photolab.
Just as different brands of film and paper will yield colors slightly
differently, so might each brand of camera have its own idiosyncrasies.
Companies like Aperion make color control negatives for printers to keep
things in balance.  Maybe there's something for digital as well.
