I haven't taken my cuttings yet but I use a  mixt of potting soil/perlite 
with plastic bag over.  The salvia does not mildew & winters better for me than 
coleus as my temps are very warm if the sun is out regardless of how cold it is 
to night time 50s.  You should have no problem with your temps.
